EVENT THREE : Hammer Museum  Just the other day my teammates and I visited the Hammer Museum in Westwood. I was not sure what to expect from this museum, but I learned a lot of interesting things. I have never been someone who likes art or exhibits that show off art, but for this I decided to step out of my comfort zone. The exhibit at the Hammer that I found the most interesting was the collaborative works of art by Oliver Payne and Keiichi Tanaami. Their art is consisted of a world that is built around Japansese idols, monsters, and popular Japanese arcade games. Payne focused more on the video game culture while Tanaami focused more on the idea of an international pop movement. These pictures are beautifully drawn skulls in black and white that often feature some type of video game signal. Week 9: Space & Art

Week 9: Space & Art Space is such an intriguing topic because there is so much out there in the galaxy that we know about, and other things that have not even been discovered yet. But, there is still so much that we can learn from space. In todays world movies are such a hit entertainment and is a form of art that everyone enjoys. The movie interstellar combines both space and art into one. This movie is about a man from NASA who wants to move all the people on Earth to a new home in space through a wormhole. What I found very interesting in this weeks lecture was the "Power of Ten" video. It is amazing how every ten seconds we are pushed further and further away from Earth until eventually the Earth is only a speck of light. But, then as the video zooms in back to earth we are able to see all of the atoms that are in cells and our body. Just a couple miles from my house is a NASA laboratory that I have never gone to check out or see, but after this weeks less...
